HOUSEHOLD ENERGY (HEQ) is a digital platform that optimizes and staggers household energy usage within neighborhoods by seamlessly coordinating daily tasks based on users’ existing habits.
Working with smart meters and user preferences, HEQ learns when and how households perform energy-intensive activities—like showering, laundry, and appliance use—and identifies which tasks have the biggest impact on their energy footprint. Using these insights, HEQ predicts and suggests optimal schedules tailored to each household, balancing individual routines with neighborhood-wide energy demand. The result is a collaborative, symbiotic ecosystem that reduces peaks in energy consumption while respecting users’ daily lives.
